Magnolia Fund


At most independent schools, tuition cannot cover the full cost of educating students, so families are asked to participate in annual giving to provide the extra dollars needed to run the school.

At RCDS, funds are needed to provide the most enriched program possible, to pay our faculty competitively, to ensure diversity through tuition assistance, and to maintain our beautiful campus. This is only possible through the generosity of parents, grandparents, former parents, alumni/ae, faculty and friends.

Donors can choose to give an unrestricted gift to the School or earmark an annual gift for one of our annual awards presented to students and faculty.

The Lee and Jerry Johnson Scholarship Fund, founded by Lee and the late Jerome “Jerry” Johnson, who were among the School’s original founders, was established to support tuition assistance at RCDS.

The Kendall and Ruth Pennypacker Memorial Fund was established by alumna Kathryn Pennypacker, daughter of the School’s first Head of School and Head Librarian.

The Michael Fauci Scholarship Fund was established by Carmine and Margaret Fauci, in memory of their son, Michael Fauci. Michael was a student at RCDS who died tragically while skiing in the Alps in the winter of his senior year. The scholarship is awarded every year to a student in the graduating class for use in his/her continuing education expenses.

Donations can also be given in honor of or in memory of someone significant in your family’s life.
